October is coming to a close, if you haven’t already it’s time to start getting that Fall and Winter wardrobe ready. We’re sure you have a busy schedule so here are some ideas to help get you started!
Have a date planned with your special someone or someone new? Now you think to yourself “What should I wear?”
Whether you’re taking your wife out for a casual night on the town, or meeting up with a tinder match for the first time, the ‘date outfit dilemma’ is something we all come across at one point or another. Gone may be the days of dress codes at restaurants (no sportcoat, no service), so let’s take a look at some more current outfits for your date nights this Fall and Winter.
Opt for a casual looking piece that can be dressed up in a pinch. The unlined topcoat from Eleventy or unlined ‘shacket’ from Private White V.C. are both great options, since they have characteristics we like for the occasion, a wool exterior and unlined body. The wool material presents a slightly dressier aesthetic and the unlined bodies ensures sure you won’t get too hot like with your down or lined pieces.
Maintain the casual mood with your top. Any pullover sweater can allow you to wear your favourite t-shirt underneath while still looking smart. It’s both easy to wear and comfortable, what more could you ask for? Don’t be afraid to add colour like with this Eleventy Pullover or Roberto Collina Turtleneck.
Pants tend to be overlooked when drumming up an outfit, since they’re rarely the stars of the show. Try something a little sharper for your date. The slim silhouette of these Eleventy cargo pants or Echizenya trousers is not only flattering, but they both have added stretch, making them super comfortable. Jeans can be an option here but make sure they fit well around the caboose, if you know what I mean.
Leave your lawn-mowing shoes in the garage and your trainers in your gym bag, and round out the casual outfit with a CLEAN pair of sneakers. A fresh pair of kicks may be the make or break for the outfit! Have some fun with the colours and textures if you want to add that extra bit of panache that complements your witty personality and playful charm.
The Peacoat You Both WANT and NEED
An iconic jacket in men’s clothing is the peacoat. Take a look at one of the best renditions we’ve ever seen.
All the way from across the Atlantic, Private White V.C.’s Shearling Collar Peacoat has arrived just as the Fall weather rolls in. If you’ve been contemplating which coat you need for this season, look no further. Private White V.C. has elevated the already iconic peacoat
Every detail has been meticulously curated. The wool is a 850gms melton, woven in Oldham, Manchester. The zippers are army grade copper from RiRi. The collar uses real black shearling with a gorgeous natural marl. The jacket is showerproof, windproof and breathable. It is roomy enough in the armholes to accept most chunky cable knit sweaters, and the shoulders are shaped perfectly to fit over your sportcoat.
Quantities are extremely limited, and you won’t find this coat anywhere else in Canada! Give us a call or swing by the shop to check it out.
