Anil Kapoor, the much loved Bollywood actor who has starred in 150 films, received various prestigious awards and is famous throughout the world after his appearance in Slumdog Millionaire, the winner of 8 Oscars, was guest of honour at the fashion show to present the Canali Spring Summer 2012 Collection dedicated to India.
On his first visit to Italy, the actor spent his time in Milan surrounded by fashion and art. His packed schedule, which included a photo shoot with Giovanni Gastel and a front row seat at the eagerly awaited “Indian” fashion show dedicated to his beloved India, came to a close with a private dinner organised in his honour against the extraordinary backdrop of the Bagatti Valsecchi Museum in the heart of Milan.
Before setting off again for Toronto and the International Indian Film Academy, with an elegant Canali suit packed in his luggage to wear on the red carpet, he said “It was a pleasure for me to be in Milan for this special India event of Canali. It was great to see how our Indian heritage is inspiring international luxury brands to create products that in a seamless way integrate design sensibilities from East and West. I wish that Canali’s ‘India’ association grows and flourishes with time”.
